The spark of inspiration

Inspiration - “stimulation or arousal of the mind, feelings, etc, to special or unusual activity or creativity”.

Most of us are lucky enough to know the feeling of being inspired. This feeling lifts us up and energizes our entire being, giving us energy to create or accomplish something unique and extraordinary. Sometimes, inspiration sparks our imagination when we least expect it and comes from the most unusual places.

Several months ago and seemingly out of the blue, a West Coast publishing company, InspiredBy, approached us with the possibility of working together on a book to help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Canada. Even though Kallima paperboard is used to print book covers all over North America, it’s not often that we have a chance to contribute to such a good cause. The project, a collection of inspirational stories, captured our imagination and we jumped in with both feet. In this special book, prominent Canadians share their sources of inspiration. It really goes to show that inspiration can indeed be fueled by all kinds of events, places, and people.

Personally, I am inspired by Ayrton Senna, a Formula 1 driver who passed away while racing in 1994. His passion, emotion and determination inspire me to push through and complete even the most difficult projects.

We’d love to hear what or who has inspired you? What sparks your creativity and motivation?
